About MD Crackower
A writer, scholar, and book reviewer at work on essays, criticism, and a forthcoming third book.
MD Crackower is a writer, scholar, and academic working at the intersection of literary criticism and book culture. Her essays and reviews have appeared in independent literary journals and university press publications.
Her current scholarly work is focused on archival studies and the history of literary form. She holds a doctorate degree from ULL, a Professional certification in Fundraising Leadership from Penn State, and is currently working on a graduate certificate in Archival Studies from Louisiana State University. She has published two books on Bible studies and is working on her next two (coming in 2027).
“We may not all be called to stand on the stage or lead under the spotlights, but we are all called to serve God, one way or another. So, let’s start today!”
She writes a monthly newsletter on the Christian life and broader topics of reading and writing, which she quietly sends to a small readership of curious, ever-learning readers. She also publishes book reviews and gives talks on the discipline of language learning, pedagogy, Bible study, and reading. She founded Wise Owls Publishing House and the Ladies with Ideas creative groups.
She is a lifelong piano amateur. Brahms and Liszt are among her favorite composers, and she dreams of playing the Appalachian Waltz on the violin. She is married to Daniel and has a nine-year-old daugher who loves tumbling.
